About the Role
We are looking for a Revenue Lead to own the full revenue motion for RocketRide.ai, with a primary focus on converting our existing open-source VS Code developer base into paid SaaS subscriptions. Roughly 80% of your energy will go into understanding, activating, and expanding our OSS user pipeline; about 20% will be on higher-touch corporate and enterprise opportunities. You will be the first dedicated revenue hire, rolling up your sleeves across product-led growth, customer development, and lightweight marketing to design, test, and scale an AI-powered go-to-market engine.
What You'll Do
- Own the end-to-end revenue funnel for our open-source users: from activation and engagement in VS Code through to trials, upgrades, and long-term SaaS subscriptions.
- Design and run experiments to systematically increase conversion from free OSS usage to paid plans, collaborating closely with product and engineering on pricing, packaging, and in-product prompts.
- Engage directly with developers and technical teams, translating their workflows and pain points into clear product feedback and compelling upgrade paths.
- Use your technical foundation to prototype workflows, mocks, and lightweight tools (e.g., scripts, automation, dashboards) that express customer requirements and sales opportunities in a concrete, testable way.
- Design, build, and manage AI-powered sales workflows (SDR/BDR, outbound, follow-ups) in partnership with Marketing and GTM, continually updating them with the latest best practices.
- Tap into and grow your existing network in key US markets to identify early lighthouse customers and a small but strategic set of corporate/enterprise deals.
- Own early revenue forecasting, pipeline hygiene, and lightweight reporting so the team has a clear view of what's working, what's not, and where to double down.
What You Bring
- 4+ years in B2B SaaS sales or revenue roles, ideally with experience in product-led growth or selling developer-focused tools and infrastructure-adjacent products.
- Strong technical foundation – ideally hands-on software development experience or equivalent depth – so you can credibly discuss architecture, workflows, and integrations with engineers.
- Demonstrated use of AI in your sales practice today: you actively design and run AI-driven workflows for outbound, research, sequencing, and pipeline coverage, not just ad-hoc prompts.
- Comfort mocking up working prototypes or using automation tools to express customer requirements, validate opportunities, and communicate ideas to product and engineering.
- Proven track record of hunting and closing net-new logos and/or expanding high-value self-serve users into larger accounts, operating without a big-company brand or fixed playbook.
